General Information

Sable Hills Eco Park is more than an "Estate". It is a truly unique development, affording a limited number of owners the opportunity to enjoy a life-style experience like no other. Upon registration of each of the  individual One Hectare Full Title stands, the new owners automatically become a member of the Section 21 Company. This Sect 21 Company controls, manages and owns the entire common property. A 2 200 Ha property bordering the 1000 Ha Mokolo Dam and the meandering Mogol River for more than 5 km.

Nature  and the conservation of all Fauna and Flora take precedence over all other matters and with this as a priority, the number of stands were limited to only 113. Less than 1% of the development is earmarked for building, leaving more than 99% of the Park untouched.

Each of the stands was hand-picked, in locations where they have minimal impact on the environment. Every stand, stretching over more than 4 km along ridges and hills, affords maximum privacy. Some will offer captivating vistas of the hills and valleys, stretching for many kilometres under a sapphire sky, whilst others enable its owners a true "Bushveld" experience, in the midst of virgin bush or rocky outcrops.

As this development and all aspects there-of are managed by the Home Owners Ass. general maintenance, upkeep and security related issues are no longer of concern to the induvidual owners and the avid traveller can rest assured that the property and animals are well looked after by professional staff.

One of the further advantages of sharing a Nature Estate is that the maintenance of infra-structure which would be prohibitively expensive for a single owner, will now be shared with like-minded people. Co-owners will share, not only in the exclusivity, isolation and privacy of the estate, but will also have a direct influence on the management there-of, as well as the growth of the entire project.

Getting around:
Many kilometers of gravel roads have already been built, enabling owners and visitors to move around and enjoy the exquisite landscape and wildlife. Individually designed lookout-points have been erected, which offer stunning panoramas, with picture-perfect views of range after range of mountains, receding in the far distance. Other viewing platforms have been constructed on the banks of the Mogol River, which forms part of one of the boundaries of the Park. Here multi-decked wooden structures, nearly 3 storeys high offers the visitor the opportunity to camp amidst the trees, whilst another deck provides an opportunity to soak in the sound of water rushing over rocks only metres below.

Security: The estate is game fenced to a height of 2,4 m, and being 50km from the nearest town, with no settlements and industries in the vicinity, the mountainous terrain virtually eliminates pedestrian access to Sable Hills Eco Park. There is a central office, which will be utilised for security related issues and a security gate will further limit access to the development .

Wildlife:
With many kilometres of river frontage, this is the ideal habitat for a great many large and smaller animal species. Sable Hills Eco Park is home to a wide range of flora and fauna. The following have been spotted -Brown Hyena, Leopard, Lynx, Warthog, Porcupine, Kudu, Mountain Zebra, Leopard tortoise, Crocodiles, the list goes on and on... The settlement of sustainable herds of most of the endemic species to the park is being conducted in phases, with the first re-introduced species allready adapting perfectly. An income generating breeding program will further ensure that additional funding flows to the Home Owners Association.
